I am not one to "want" to rip out and especially "after" I think the quilt is done, but if it bugs me too much, I may just do it. For now it will sit while I start prepping the next two blocks. Thanks for your compliments and advice.Mimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11965619213181669880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3958265265646973976.post-77599947949170980832011-08-23T08:36:34.653-07:002011-08-23T08:36:34.653-07:00Mimi,

It is just a different value. And if you have used the color in other blocks, then it is already in your quilt - you aren't striking out with something totally different. And sometimes the quilt itself has us changing our original plans for it. I know that has happened to me before and I actually liked the outcome even better!

I can't wait to see the rosey floral in a basket too!

Judy in Oklahomajudyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13714243316784031716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3958265265646973976.post-44693095841873140962011-08-21T08:24:44.160-07:002011-08-21T08:24:44.160-07:00I've always been a believer of use a fabric in...I've always been a believer of use a fabric in three places in your quilt. If you make a bud or flower or whatever from it in two other blocks, I think this fabric will fit in just fine. Personally, I really like it here. And to me, the original quilt looks like it was a group project so a fabric here and there that's really different goes with the spirit of the original. But then again, it's your quilt and you're the one who has to like it.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15685952017183050898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3958265265646973976.post-2728423305482777492011-08-21T07:32:21.217-07:002011-08-21T07:32:21.217-07:00Vote 5 for waiting and seeing how all the blocks l...Vote 5 for waiting and seeing how all the blocks look together. Sometimes, it's my favorite block that has to sit out because it doesn't play nicely and the not so striking ones become key in the piece.Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12037415376456508137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3958265265646973976.post-73899032635478252222011-08-20T23:40:51.321-07:002011-08-20T23:40:51.321-07:00I think it looks charming, especially with that ba...I think it looks charming, especially with that background. However, if it is bothering you, and can be replaced so easily, why not wait till the whole quilt top is finished but not put together and judge it again? I find too, I sometimes make poor decisions based on my mood. So don't rush in and change just yet.lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13965043838288712362noreply@blogger.com
