I saw that the quilt had yellow on this block, but I felt the colour may not have been yellow originally. It could have faded or lost its dye in washing. The size argument does seem to hold water - the strawberries would have been smaller and more numerous. I thought there may have been more significance to pineapples than strawberries, although I don't remember their meanings. Of course the green bit on both ends was persuasive too, but my pineapple has great big pointy spikes and that is a feature. It seems underplayed in this pattern. Anyway, I went the pineapple.lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13965043838288712362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3958265265646973976.post-7413848102631472342010-12-06T08:59:47.712-08:002010-12-06T08:59:47.712-08:00When I checked on Gai's blog, I saw them in ye...When I checked on Gai's blog, I saw them in yellow so I made pineapples but if you left off the top green piece and made that area more pointy, I could see strawberries, too. But - because of the significance of the pineapple, I think that's more likely.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15685952017183050898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3958265265646973976.post-57914018141117827092010-12-06T07:37:57.571-08:002010-12-06T07:37:57.571-08:00Very nice. The pieces were too thin and the curves too deep for me to use my regular method.Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12037415376456508137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3958265265646973976.post-28656414293018014592010-12-06T06:33:27.416-08:002010-12-06T06:33:27.416-08:00What a fantastic block!!
