Block #15

So....what does everyone think of Block #15?  I am thinking it doesn't look too easy especially with Christmas around the corner.  Have fun!

  1. It doesn't look bad to me - not too many leaves or berries and some fairly large pieces. I see more embroidery but there's no prep involved for that. I agree - everything will take longer with Christmas around the corner. And it will be a while before I start this one because I'm working on block 7 so feel free to let me know if I'm wrong!

  2. I love it but I am a long way off to starting it. I am working on #2 and have only 2 sets of the red leaves done. I have to embroider a couple of small stems on #1, but it is done.

  5. I love it! Thought it was about time for another basket/vase. There are a few in the quilt that I can pick out. I have chosen the basket fabric first! The rest will be scrappy.

  6. I like the complexity of it. I think it will make a suitable project over the holiday break. The shape of the vase has me curious. I don't think I've ever seen one that is "weeping". Well, that is what the side of the vase looks like to me, and I'm not referring to the ear rings. Does anyone have any ideas about that?

  7. Well, I like the Scarlet O'Hara attitude. Personally, I think there are a LOT of pieces to this block and there are quite a few cut outs on the basket and some of the flowers. It all seems very time consuming to me. I for one wish I had a holiday break, but there is still work and all the holiday trappings, too. I was ready for a basket block, too. Guess it is time to go through the stash and see just where this block is going to take me. Happy quilting.
