Block 16 and all those circles

I started on block 16, and sort of ignored the circles, concentrating on the vines and leaves.  Well, you can't do that and get it all done!  I made some of my circles last night, and stitched them in place.

I mostly do back basting, but used my Perfect Circles for this job.
this is what the block looks like now.  Still a way to go, but if I can get some done like this between other things, then I will probably have them done on time.  You can see the whole sequence on my blog Legend and Lace .  I did not want to take up too much space here.

  1. You take up all the space you want. I love watching other's porgress. The block is looking great so far. Keep it up!

  2. I agree. I like what I see but I am curious as to why you decided to do the circles in red, not purple. This is the block I have planned to do next and I have pulled out all my purples because I thought of grape bunches??!!?!

  3. Purple did not appeal to me. Most of the blocks are in green/cheddar/red and I stuck to that them. I saw them as cherries not grapes. Just a different slant on it. There may be a purple or two by the time they are all done. Wendy

  4. I like the way you are tackling this block. Before you know it, it will be finished.

  5. I, too, planned on doing red. Yes, they do look like grapes, but I am doing red and green for my quilt. I am not even adding the cheddar. The French General line that I am using also has shades of rose in it and they might just start showing up in some of my blocks. Never know.
