I'm not thrilled with this, but the majority of people who commented on my blog seemed to think I should use my own handwriting....so I did. Now to applique the grapes.
It's nice to see someone else thought the stems belonged on top of the basket handle. I like your handwriting on here so much better than, well, faked. The stitching and fabric choices are yours so the signature should be, too. Your choice of solid red for the cherries looks really nice!
Oh you are brave. Did you draw this on paper and then trace or did you just go for it. I think you were smart to ink before stitching all the circles, if you really didn't like it you could start over. I might copy this idea, I'm just getting ready to stitch on the grapes.
I love your block 20, very pretty. I also like what you are doing with the grape block.
ReplyDeleteNice to see the inking in the center...it just seems to call for something like that. Love your basket block. The green plaid is great!
ReplyDeleteThe basket of cherries is beautiful. I love the funky squat basket shape, good fabric choice used for it too.
ReplyDeleteHey good work Lori! It's you! That's a great thing to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteI think they both look great! Wonderful idea to do the inking.
