I am all up to date now. I could not get the centres of the flowers quite as small as the drawing - darn. As I use Perfect Circles, and I did use the smallest, they were still not small enough. Never mind, it is the thought that counts. Now ready to start on the next one.
For those interested, we are going to start getting the border next month. Get ready for all those circles!

Block 21
It has been absolute ages since you heard from me! I have been busy with other stuff, but finally had the time to finish this block. I did not add the bird. Decided it did not need it. Might change my mind somewhere down the line. The picture looks a little crooked, but that is just the way I held the camera! Onto the next one soon......Wendy

Cherry Tree 19
I just love this block! Anything in a vase appeals to me. I dug deep into my scrap bag once again, and came out with e few oldies. The wings and feathers on the birds were a bit of a challenge, but I managed to fudge it ok. Do you just love my vase fabric? I bought this from my friend Helen Juul, a quilter and quilt shop owner in Denmark. Sometimes the fabrics that are out of stock in Australia or the USA, are sitting on shelves in Europe, and I was just lucky enough to get this one. I am 10 days early, so I now have to get back to hand quilting a quilt that is going to the Sydney quilt show in 6 weeks. Better get a wriggle on!

Block 18
I had this block almost finished for ages, except for the circles in the centres. It just sat! I found a few precious old fabrics to use. These got dug up in my resent sewing room turmoil. I have to clean up for redecorating/renovations. Love the final result, but hate the mess. Anyway, the block is done, and I will start on 19 today. I have even chosen the basket fabric, found that in the clean up as well!

Block 15 under way
I have kind of started. I do back basting applique, and have drawn the design onto my background. My fabric is Moda 200 thread count muslin, which is just divine! Love the feel of it. I have chosen the basket fabric - well I think i have.....
Now, that centre flower, I think I will have to do that seperate. If I am going to do all the layers, I will need to cut away behind each layer. Normally I don't worry about one or two layers, but I think that one is about 5 layers.

Block 14 all done
I did take another photo - much clearer. Must be time for a camera service. WW
My block is made just from scraps out of my basket, and is remarkably like one a few blocks back. Now, back to my other applique projects for a couple of weeks.. Wendy

Number 14 off and running!
I have got all my first level of pieces basted in place, and ready to start stitching tomorrow.
This is not a very clear photo - sorry. Have been at it for ages, and can't get it clear. Will tray again later
This is the back, where I have traced the block, and tacked in place.
I took a better photo - at least you can see the fabrics now. WW

My blocks so far
These are my blocks so - all up to date I am pleased to say! Mine are all reverse as I do back-basting applique, and can't be bothered to reverse the drawing. Anyway, there are going to be so many of these quilts out there, no one will care, least of all me! I will make all the blocks if I can hold out long enough.
