5 blocks quilted. Before I move on I plan on using my Hera marker to do a cross hatch in the background. I'll go back and quilt the 5 blocks then move on. So far I'm really enjoying it although the size makes me feel like I'm in a wrestling match sometimes. Especially with this center block!!
Wow...it's looking great!
ReplyDeleteLooking very good, it definitely is a lot to work with.
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous Lori.
ReplyDeleteI just adore this quilt. You have done a wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteCurious as to how far apart the basting is? Your layers look so nice and smooth. Just got my top back from the long-arm basting - the threads are so lose and 4-5" between tackings. I am getting caught on everything - frustrating. Thinking I need to add some hand basting throughout - ugh!
ReplyDeleteThat stinks. My machine basting is about the same as yours but my stitches may be a little smaller so I am not having a problem. I paid about $100 for basting so I would be very unhappy if I had to add hand stitches.
DeleteWhat type of batting are you using? It looks great! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love to see your progress on this quilt - it's really wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt, Lori. So many beautiful things on this blog. A truly talented group of ladies.
