Wondering how many leaves we will have appliqued when all is said and done??? Eventually I will master those little pointed ends...
Have closed my eyes to the fact that #16 looks out of whack...those vines follow the original pattern...except for the 4 stems which lead to the clusters of cherries...I am thinking about doing the embroidery links a little differently....at least one of the cherries is in place:o)
Now on to getting #7 ready to go...

I think you are doing really good applique stitching. It is interesting to see the fabric choices each person is making.
ReplyDeleteI really like your block 6.
ReplyDeleteSo the fun begins with all the grapes! yikes!
I think your block turned out beautifully. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThe plaid is great! I must look for something like that, it really adds interest.
ReplyDeleteBlock # 6 is looking good. I was a bit put off too by the lopsided vine in Block #16.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing about the crooked vines, but once you add the grapes it seems to be more balanced. Block 6 looks good!!!
ReplyDeletePlaids, checks, dots! Perfect. I am going to follow your idea in this block.
ReplyDeleteI think this is one of the prettiest of all the blocks. Love how you can do all the layers. Makes it really rich looking. Waiting on 18 now.
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric combinations and like the other comments, I too love plaids and usually have two or three in all the quilts I make - my signature. Yes the grape vine does look a little squiffy but as Mary says I think it will come right once all the grapes are added.
ReplyDeletePS I don't know why you're worrying about your points they look great to me :-))
