Thanks for inviting me to join!
Here's my completed block 1. I can see red halos around the flowers and I'm surprised. I rinsed it out to remove markings before I pressed it, so that my be the problem. I've always just waited till the quilt was finished and tossed it in the machine without a problem. I'll try re-washing it and hope that works. Otherwise, I'll redo the block. The rest of my reds are in the washer with Retayne as I type.

ReplyDeleteThe Jo Morton stripe looks fantastic. I have some with my BTCT fabric but wasn't sure how it would look as a leaf!! Now I know it will look terrific!
Well, I can't see the red halos from my screen, but I would try soaking this block in Synthrapol and one of those dye catchers. It's a good idea to wash the rest of your reds in Retayne though. I love your block. The green stripe gives a lot of movement. Love it.
