Waiting for Block #14..

What do you do when you are waiting?  Make hundreds of cherries!

At least I have started to make all those cherries that are going to be needed for the border.  Right now I have traced out 1" circles, cut them out and have started the running stitch on several of them.  I guess I can see the reason for ordering the paper templates that was suggested, because all I have are the four plastic Perfect Circle templates and I can see that  is going to be a bit of a chore.  So...I guess I will place an order for 200 of those paper ones.  Once these are done, I guess I will have to start thinking about all those leaves, too.

  1. I would say you have real patience if you can make hundreds of cherries! I've made yoyos, and I know they are a lot of work! Have fun!!!

  4. I really admire all your progress on this quilt. I have been collecting the patterns but have not started the quilt.

  5. Good work on the cherries, you'll have 150+ in no time. I'm still plugging away on block #3, I tried to post a picture this a.m. but my home pc wouldn't turn on....or off.....or anything. Yikes! I've got 2 of the 4 pineapples completed, so I'm over 1/2 way to finished.

  6. Number 14 is there now. It is very much like one of the previous blocks. I was really hoping for a basket this time. there are a few in the quilt, and I like making baskets!
