I agree - using all different fabrics looks very nice. You have some really old reds in there - I know because I almost used some of them in my last block! Aren't fabric collections wonderful? The way you split all your fabrics makes this quilt totally yours and really pretty.
Thanks for all the generous comments. There are stories behind some of those fabrics - you know the ones that go "I got it for a $1/yd" and "I hunted high and low for and extra 20cm and finally found it. So I bought 2 metres." Or "I bought it in some out-of-the-way spot while my husband was fishing". Strange how we remember the history of some fabrics.
I do like the way you used different fabrics in each leaf - make it look very special. Well done!
