My second block is done. I think I am going to leave off the little green part that goes underneath the flowers. I can always put it on later if I want. The flowers are a polka dot fabric that I centered the white dot in the middle.
These are the two blocks together. I noticed in the picture that the background polka dot has a direction to it! I will need to make sure they are all going the same way. I am really enjoying these blocks and the colors are very seasonal!!
I love what you are doing. I think the spots work well with this pattern and its folky genre. The basket block is amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh what a fun block. Your quilt is going to be so refreshing and bright. Love it.
ReplyDeleteKelly, I just love your funky fabric choices! I love your blocks.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I love the flowers without the green.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely your fabrics are, they are so fresh and fun! It's going to be a happy quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how different your red and green will be from my red and green. I love your fabrics, so fresh and crisp looking. Maybe your dots background going different ways could add whimsy to your finished product. You will have a few blocks that could go either way when they're finished. Another design element you get to work with!
ReplyDeleteLeaving off the "little green part that goes underneath the flowers" gives the block a completely different look and I like it. I honestly didn't know it was the block I'd just made! I think it's wonderful how we're all making the quilts our own. I like the fabrics you used here - much more today even though it's a red and green quilt!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look gorgeous together. it makes me want to make the quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove, love your blocks. This is going to be a fantastic quilt - bravo!
