Block 6 |
I changed mine a bit. I didn't like the thickness of the layers in the scalloped flowers and I don't cut away the back so I left a layer off of each one. I like the bird so I put it in. I enjoyed working on this block but it seemed to take me longer than I expected. Maybe the holidays have something to do with that!
I have my circles and the embroidery done for block 7 but haven't started the applique yet.
It looks fantastic Mary. I would have never noticed that you didn't have all the layers on the flowers. This one seemed to take longer than I would have expected too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the photo of your latest block. Love the little bird and as someone else said didn't even notice the missing layer. It is so much fun seeing everyone's blocks..
ReplyDeleteI made my block from the first drawing Gay gave us, that did not have all the layers. I like it that way.
ReplyDeleteWow...I had to go back and forth to look. I almost thought Lori's and your block were one of the same. They are both beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't cut away from the back, does that mean you applique through all the thicknesses, or that you don't applique if it is too thick. I was going to ask for opinions regarding cutting away the back.
