I'm making headway on #3. This block does get easier, but I recommend doing a dry run with at least one section. My goal is to do 2 blocks per month to catch up and I will have this block finished by the 15th. Block 4, here I come!
Edit: I am back basting this block and a bit tip is to keep a round toothpick in the corner of your mouth. With the little bit of moisture on it, the toothpick is super handy in turning under the tight inside curves.
Your block is looking good. Very pineappley. It has a certain charm. It looks like fun to do, I like skinny curvy bits.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I don't think I'll get tired of seeing these wonderfully charming blocks!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pineapples - your applique is so nice!
ReplyDeleteAlso responding to your recent email - I have basic WordPress and can find no reference to "labels" other than a vague connection to "Tags" or "Categories" - my tech knowledge is slim to none so I do not understand how to get my BTCT images attached to this site. I am listed under contributors, but the link does not take you to my own blog. Thanks for any help - I may need someone to walk me through...
To Talyorsoutback. I have emailed you and hope I have you on the rigth track. If not, ask again and maybe someone else can help you. I believe you have to access this site through Blogger so if you are posting your blog from a different provider, you need to get back to the Blogger site I directed you to in the email.
ReplyDeleteSharon, your block looks great. Kudos to you if you can get two blocks done a month. I think it is doable, but with the holidays coming up, I will bow down to you if you can keep it up. You are inspiring.
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I back baste as well, and I don;t flip the patterns, so all my blocks are back-to-front. I use the toothpick as well. So handy! When teaching applique I give them out - students love it.
