Thank you for the invitation to join the group. I haven't started my blocks yet, but this week I coffee dyed some muslin for the background.
Reading everyone's posts before making the blocks is going to really help. This pattern is perfect and I'm looking forward to working on it. A winter project when the snow blowing here in on the plains. Lori in South Dakota
Mmmm..that looks yummy. Reminds me when I was on a recent retreat with Gwen Marston and I was making a liberated basket quilt with the French General fabrics. I had bought a black and white stripe which was way too white, so we made a concoction of coffee and tea and put a yard of the fabric in the slow cooker for a few hours. What we won't do to get exactly what we want. Can't wait to see your coffee dyed fabric in your blocks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea! Can't wait to see this stitched up for a b.g. It's going to be fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWelcome aboard.
I've coffee dyed before but never used as many grounds as you have there!! I can't wait to see your background and how the color turned out.

How fun - looking forward to seeing what fabrics you choose to go with the coffee-dyed background!
